For the launch of the horror thriller Ghost Game, we crafted a set of display ads based on the poster art by Outlaw Posters designed to grab attention and build anticipation. This ad suite included:
- Mobile-friendly 320x50 ads for easy access on smaller screens. This unit normally loads at the top of a mobile view and on some sites will stick to the top of the screen as the user scrolls.
- 728x90 leaderboard banner that seamlessly captures user attention across web pages. This unit is usually found near the page fold, also known as the jump, or within the content itself.
- 970x250 Rich Media trailer unit offering a sneak peek with dynamic visuals. The black area of the graphic is home to a video player that will play a highly optimized teaser trailer on loop with the audio muted by default.
- 300x600 skyscraper ads and 300x250 square ads positioned in the sidebar area of a blog to maximize visibility and intrigue.
- A 1600x1600 background takeover creates an immersive, edge-to-edge experience. This unit is only visible on desktop views, and while graphically intensive, it may be cut off depending on the end user's monitor size.
By deploying a high-impact site takeover, Ghost Game achieved a unique level of audience engagement. This approach places the film at the center of the user’s browsing experience, fully surrounding them in a chilling atmosphere that mirrors the film's suspense. With branded visuals on every corner of the screen, takeovers ensure maximum brand recall and boost clicks by immersing viewers in the film’s story world. This strategy is especially effective for horror, where suspense and mood are crucial to building interest and setting expectations, making Ghost Game an unmissable experience from the first ad view.
